On Tuesday April 29, the Archer Swim team competed in their last meet before league preliminary finals at Brentwood School.
Archer took first against Brentwood School and New Community Jewish High School.
This was the Junior Varsity teams last meet. Members Isabelle Wilson ’17, Kaia Torowski ’17, Shelby Mumford ’16, Micaela Paulson ’16, Marwa Mohammad ’15 and Valentina Sallas ’15 all ended the season with personal records.
On reflecting on the season, Paulson said, “This year the team has been really strong and we have a lot of great new people. The best part about swim, though, is that everyone is here because they want to be here and do their best not only for themselves, but for their the team and for Archer.”
Fellow teammate Torowski added one of the things she likes best about the team is “the sisterhood” bond formed between teammates.
Varsity swimmers will move on to finals next week and their performance their will determine whether or not they’ll move on to the California Interscholastic Federation Preliminaries.
