Letter to the Editor: Alumni Art

I am the mother of Archer graduate Tara Violet Niami ’11. I wanted to ask you to let all the Archer girls know that Tara is having her first solo gallery show at The Lodge in Hollywood with a reception 6pm to 10pm this Saturday Jan. 13, and they are all welcome. The Lodge is situated at 1024 N Western Avenue.

Tara is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA in photography, and she has just graduated from AFI with an MFA as a cinematographer.

As a photographer and cinematographer she owes the start of her career to the extraordinary mentorship of Archer photography teacher — the extraordinary Harris Hartsfield. The exhibition consists of 20 prints of self portraits taken 2008 to 2018 (from the age of 14 to 24) — so that includes many photographs that she took while attending Archer!
