Ribbons of the practice Maypole float in the breeze on the sport court during sixth grade’s Maypole rehearsal May 2. Sixth grade Dean of Community, Culture and Belonging Natalie Kang described the Maypole as a rite of passage from sixth to seventh grade. Associate Director of College Guidance Shalyn Tharayil works in her office in preparation for rising seniors college application season. Tharayil has worked with schools all over the world and reflected on her first year at Archer. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, coaches hosted practice at Archer, where the team started with a warm up and then moved onto a set of sprints. On a particular practice day, athletes ran a set of eight 200-meter sprints with short breaks in between.

‘We always have that pressure to beat them’: Middle school tennis team shares experiences with unsportsmanlike behavior in coed league
Seniors Eleanor Madley, Izzy Jeffery, Chloe Hayden and Malia Apor embrace before signing their National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers in college. The community celebrated their signings April 17, and the Class of 2024 has the most college athletic commitments in Archer history.
