In this episode of The Scoop, Senior Reporters Emily Paschall (‘26) and Meredith Ho (‘26) featured senior Kay Bruce and freshman Katia Thomas, who are both involved in service outside of Archer. History teacher and service learning coordinator Meg Shirk also offered insight into Archer’s ninth grade history curriculum, which includes a service project proposal as the second semester final, and the importance of passion-led service.

She is on the Archer swim team, is a member of the Orchestra Leadership Team, and is creating a book highlighting immigration stories. Emily Paschall joined the Oracle in 2022, became a senior reporter in 2023 and is now the news editor. She participates in dance and aerial silks at Archer. She is also a part of the Ambassador Leadership Team Advisory Board, Dance Leadership Team and co-leads the Empowering Heart club. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog.
