Marlborough School held their annual Student Invitational Art Show in the Seaver Art Gallery on campus on Jan. 23, showcasing some of the best work by students from schools across Los Angeles, California.
Archer was invited to select students in various mediums to represent the art program. Teachers throughout Archer’s art department submitted student work for the show.
“The art department selected a strong variety of amazing work created by Archer girls that truly represents the level of creativity and curiosity we foster here in the Art department,” AP Art Teacher Emily Silver said in an email.
Nine Archer girls were chosen to display their artwork in the exhibition. Although the art department did not choose a theme for the works they selected, the department chose a “variety of [students in] all different grade levels and materials, from ceramic sculptures, photography, drawing to video art,” Silver wrote.
The following students currently have art on display: Ava-Rose Beech ’16, Lulu Cerone ’17, Cairo Dwek ’16, Maddie Hochman ’17, Haley Jamieson ’16, Michelle Johnson ’15, Isabel Malina ’16, Sonia Miklaucic ’16 and Elizabeth Zinman ’17.
The show will run through Feb. 20 at the Seaver Gallery on Marlborough’s campus at 250 S. Rossmore Ave., Los Angeles, Calif. 90004.
