Archer’s Dance Companies held their first annual Festival of Dance on May 19 to showcase their passion for dance to the Archer community.
Students were invited to gather in the courtyard during X-Block to watch their peers perform student-choreographed dances ranging from hip-hop to contemporary. The dancers had been working on their pieces since March.
During lunch that day, student created dance videos which were presented in the Rose Room.
“For me as the teacher I see each [dance] as a masterpiece,” Andrea Locke, arts teacher, said. “It shows growth and development of those dancers and that choreographer.”

The Festival of Dance was so inspiring–and I’m #grateful that the rain held off!
I hope it encourages more Archer girls to attend the Night of Dance in February, too!
