In the 2016-2017 dance show, “Dimensions,” students were able to explore different aspects of art expressed through dance.

The event took place the weekend of Feb. 25 with performances on both Saturday and Sunday. Each dance was inspired by a particular piece of art chosen by the choreographer.

In the welcoming note of the pamphlet, Andrea Locke, the artistic director, stated, “The pairing of dance and visual art allows extensive room to enhance creativity and expand the imagination of dancer, choreographer, and the audience.”

“The choreographers, inspired by their unique creative connection to the artwork, collaborated with the dancers to create magnificent expressions of the human spirit for the audience,” she added.
