9th grade Arrow Week photo competition winner announced
While the rest of the student body attended regularly scheduled classes, the Class of 2021 traversed the Arizona wilderness.
The freshman class participated in the annual Arrow Week expedition from Mar. 16 to 23. The grade flew to Tucson, Arizona, then departed in smaller trail groups to backpack through various parts of the state with the National Outdoor Leadership School [NOLS].
The Oracle asked the freshmen to submit their best photos from the trip for a chance to win a free dress day for their Arrow Week group.
Lexie Ben-Meir ’21 won for her photo, pictured to the right and below. Her hiking group will be allowed to wear free dress on Friday, Apr. 20.
This ninth-grade trip is the second of three NOLS courses offered to students during their time at Archer. This outing was Archer’s 20th student trip with NOLS.
