7th grade Arrow Week photo competition winner announced
Hidden in the golden slot canyons and cryptobiotic soil of Utah, the Class of 2023 trekked through the southern Utah wilderness from April 20 to 27.
Seventh grade students participated in the annual Arrow Week expedition fled by the National Outdoor Leadership School [NOLS]. The grade flew to Salt Lake City, Utah, then took a bus to Green River, Utah, where they camped for the first night. The students then departed in smaller trail groups to backpack through various parts of the state.
The Oracle asked the Class of 2023 to submit their best photos from the trip for a chance to win a free dress day for their Arrow Week hiking group.
Charlotte Tragos ’23 won for her photo, pictured to the right and below. Her hiking group will be allowed to wear free dress on Friday, May 11.
This seventh-grade trip is the first of three NOLS courses offered to students during their time at Archer. This outing was Archer’s 21st student trip with NOLS.
