Varsity volleyball defeats Heritage High School 3-2 in CIF-SS Division 6 quarter-finals
The Archer Panthers beat the Heritage Patriots 3-2 in today’s varsity volleyball CIF-SS Division 6 quarter-finals. The game was played at Heritage High School’s home court in Menifee, CA.
Junior Andrea Campos was a key player in today’s game. Running to get every ball and blocking spikes at net, the Heritage team got almost no hits past Campos.
At one point, Campos ran across the court to return a hit made by the other team. She fell into chairs located on the side of the court while attempting to retrieve the hit, but was able to pass the ball back to her teammates. Archer won the point.
Junior Amelia Nathanson said a key highlight of the game was how they re-grouped and won.
“We won the first two sets but lost the third. After that, we came together as a team in the fourth set and succeeded.”
The varsity team will play against Beaumont High School in the CIF-SS D6 semi-finals this Saturday at Park Century School. General admission is $10 and student admission is $5.
