Smith said the team has to put in the work to be successful in a new league. “This is our second season in the Gold Coast League,” Smith said. “It’s more challenging because the competition is better.”

Students fold vibrant tissue paper into flowers to add to Archer’s community ofrenda. Making an ofrenda is a traditional practice during Día de los Muertos, where families will lay photos and momentos on a decorated table to remember and honor the lives of deceased loved ones. Hermanas Unidas executive board member Alondra Alcala said the celebration is "a way for people to honor loved ones, especially when healing from a loss."

Archer students celebrate International Day of the Girl Child by writing words of affirmation on a poster. This day recognized the successes and pride of women everywhere. "Feminism is an intersectional movement that includes people of all walks of life, and is a fight to make sure that women have equal rights, not just in the United States, but across the globe," Katia Thomas ('27) said. "I encourage everyone to hold some space for this day."

Director of Upper School Maggie Cenan hands Serena Ho ('29) a celebratory sweatshirt for Archer's 30th anniversary. "I want Archer to be known as the school in the United States that is graduating the highest number of change makers of women who ascend to leadership," Head of School Elizabeth English said of her hopes for Archer's next 30 years.

Emily Paschall joined the Oracle in 2022, became a senior reporter in 2023, the news editor in 2024 and is now the co-editor-in-chief. She participates in dance and aerial silks at Archer. She is also a part of the Ambassador Leadership Team Advisory Board, Dance Leadership Team and co-leads the Empowering Heart club. In her free time, Paschall enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog.
