Tuesday, May 6, Archer invited 2014-2015 incoming students and families onto campus for an evening of speeches, performances and a taste of Archer Spirit. According to Middle School Director Karen Pavliscak, new students from 50 different zip codes will be attending Archer next year.

Assembled in the courtyard, Archer’s new community members were greeted with  performances from the Archer Orchestra and a capella group. They performed their own rendition of the school’s theme song “The Walls of Archer,” with beatbox accompaniment.

ASB President Marisa London talked about the amazing experiences she has had as a member of the Archer community in a speech to the new families. Director of Admissions Felicia Paik and Head of School Elizabeth English spoke of the openness, kindness and adventures of being a student at Archer.

All new students were presented with an arrow necklace as a token into the community. English explained that “a community of diversity is a community of kindness.”
