The first novel by English author Mark Haddon, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” is fresh. Following an autistic boy’s journey to solve a murder, this book is about change, truth and the meaning of love.

Full of unimaginable plot twists, the sweet story of Christopher will touch every reader. Readers follow Christopher as he travels on an adventure to solve a mystery, finds a missing person and learns to love. The unusual plot and narrator in this novel truly stand out.

The Boston Globe raves that Mark Haddon’s novel is “gloriously eccentric and wonderfully intelligent.” Although the main theme for this novel is mystery, it branches towards love, action and even a bit of math.

“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time” is different and refreshing and recommended for all grades 6+.
