Archer students earn accolades for National French Contest

In an email to the Archer community, World Languages Department chair Talia Geffen stated that 26 Archer students earned medals for national distinction across six levels of the 2015 National French Contest, 18 of which were present at a ceremony in Pasadena on May 16 to receive their medals.

Of the 26 winners, seven have now ranked twice and one has ranked thrice. Three of the 26 Archer girls “distinguished themselves on the challenging Level 5,” Geffen wrote.

Lulu Cerone ’17, Carly Feldman ’17, Anika Ramlo ’17 and Maya Winkler ’18 won the “‘Concours Yves Magolé,’ a student video contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, Southern California,” Geffen wrote.

Their video is called “La Laide Fille,” or “The Ugly Girl” and can be found here.

Below is a list of the medal winners.
