After their successful opening game, Coach Kari Morioka sent out an update on this year’s Middle School Softball Team.

Coach Mo writes, “Middle School softball had an amazing opening day against New Roads winning 15-4…at Clover Park in Santa Monica.  The duo of Mia Parker ’18, on the mound and Emma Alperovich ’20 behind home plate, recorded 12 strike outs and had an amazing fielding crew to support their efforts. Our sluggers were hitting the ball and stealing bases.  Our fielders  were picking up grounders, backing up plays and hitting our cut-offs. What a day!”

She adds, “To cap off the day, Mia Parker hit a grand slam home-run at the top of the third inning.”

Morioka believes it will be an “exciting season (even for those of you who don’t enjoy softball)! This is a fun team to watch and be around!”

With pride in their paws, the Archer Community awaits the upcoming season.
