Lucy Williams joined the Oracle as a freshman staff reporter in 2021 and is now a senior serving her second year as voices editor. Outside of journalism, she runs an L.A. food blog on Tiktok and Instagram under the epithet “Little Savvy.” She also serves on the Hermanas Unidas club board and the DemocraShe Leadership Team and is passionate about literature and business.

My younger sister and I work at the register at Timeless Treasures Ticktocker Thrift Shop in Culver City. We were nervous for our first time managing the register, as our people skills had gotten worse due to quarantine. However, spending hours talking to customers helped us improve communication with them through words and friendly gestures.
