In their introduction year, every writer on the Oracle and Hestia’s Flame learns about the legal rights of student journalists. With little to no involvement from administration and an educated student body, Archer is home to a fully free press. However, at other high school newspapers across the country, the same cannot be said.

Charlotte Burnap, Culture Editor
Charlotte Burnap joined The Oracle in 2023, became a senior reporter in 2024 and became culture editor in 2025. At Archer, she is a member of the music leadership team, assistant director of the middle school musical and singer in the choir and Unaccompanied Minors, Archer’s a cappella group. In her free time, you can find her listening to music, walking around flea markets or hanging out with her friends.
Emily Paschall, Editor-in-Chief
Emily Paschall joined the Oracle in 2022, became a senior reporter in 2023, the news editor in 2024 and served as the co-editor-in-chief as a senior. She participated in dance and aerial silks at Archer. She was also a part of the Ambassador Leadership Team Advisory Board, Dance Leadership Team and co-led the Empowering Heart club. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog. She graduated in 2026.
Melinda Wang, Multimedia Editor
Melinda Wang joined The Oracle as a staff reporter in 2022, became a senior reporter in 2023 and served as the multimedia editor her senior year. As a senior, she took art classes and was invested in community service outside of Archer. When she wasn’t doing homework, you could find her listening to Lana Del Rey or taking photos. Melinda graduated in 2026.
