Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica served as a railroad station from 1875 to 1953, until its re-opening as an arts center, Sept. 17, 1994. Now, it houses galleries, theater and comedy performances, and more. Visitors can explore different galleries with varying concepts all in the same center, and there is no parking or admission fee to visit the galleries and businesses.
