Varsity volleyball defeated St. Monica Catholic High School 3-0 in the first round of CIFs on their home court at Park Century School.

According to an email by Athletic Director Denny Lennon, Archer qualified for the CIF playoffs by winning the Liberty League championship with an 8-0 record. Because of tonight’s victory, the team will travel to face either La Sierra High School or Whittier High School in the second round.

Player Alizeh Jarrahy ’20 said that the team bond and energy gained from the victory will help them in later rounds of CIFs.

“It’s been a great season playing with everyone and getting to know the new people on the team better,” she said. “I think [tonight’s win] will help the spirits of everyone on the team.”
