Belwood Bakery Cafe, a family-owned, Asian-owned business, is frequented by many Archer students. On campus, there is often a plethora of their familiar unbranded coffee cup sleeves and people chowing down on a freshly made muffin or bánh mì. They offer pastries, sandwiches, salads, coffee, smoothies and more, just a few minutes from campus. Despite its popularity, many students don’t know about its background and longtime service to the greater Brentwood community. The Oracle sat down with John Tran, Belwood’s owner and manager, to learn more about the bakery’s history and what it means to be a local business.
