BREAKING: Francesca Cappello elected 2020-2021 Student Body President

The rising upper school elected Francesca Cappello as next year’s Student Body President.

Executive Board elections on Wednesday determined that seniors Francesca Cappello, Tove Jegeus, Madis Kennedy and Aniyah Shirehjini will lead the student body next year. The rising senior with the most votes becomes the Student Body President, but Wednesday’s elections ended in a tie between two candidates, with all four candidates extremely close in vote count.

In today’s runoff election, the rising upper school elected Francesca Cappello as the 2020-2021 Student Body President. According to a campaign email Cappello sent yesterday, she has spent three years as a class representative.

The Executive Board next year will be comprised entirely of seniors. The position of Student Body President goes to Langdon Janos, as she received the most votes from the rising upper schoolers. The Executive Board will be comprised of Nyah Fernandez, Marissa Gendy and Bess Frierson.
